The National Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) said it will set up a dedicated team to serve tax amnesty participants who want to channel their repatriated funds in direct investments. The Head of BKPM Franky Sibarani said that based on the tax amnesty rule, the participants of the tax amnesty program are allowed to make direct investment after their fund are transferred to an escrow account (special account) in the gateway banks. They can also invest in financial investment instruments such as bonds, government securities or capital market instruments. Franky said that there are 154 fields of business in the real sector priorities that can become investment options for tax amnesty participants. They could get Tax Allowance facility and tax holiday in 9 pioneered sectors.
