JAKARTA - Two telecommunication operators PT Indosat Ooredoo Tbk (IDX: ISAT) and PT XL Axiata Tbk (IDX: EXCL), are forging a joint-venture (JV) company aimed at providing consultancy services. President director of Indosat Alexander Rusli said in a statement, the JV firm has set authorized capital of Rp 10 billion (US$751,879) and issued capital of Rp 2.5 billion. Indosat, he added, will take 50 percent and will prepare its internal cash for the new venture. Indosat, controlled by Oreedoo of Qatar, has in the past been competing fiercely against XL Axiata, controlled by Axiata of Malaysia. (*)
